Introducing the KMP PERSONAL WEAPON RETENTION SYSTEM

The KMP PWRS has been some time in the making. Working with Armed Police units and specialist operators - KMP was tasked with creating an all new weapon retention system which was unlike others currently available

After many issues experienced from other brands and manufacturers due to cheap designs and inferior materials used, operators had experienced parts breaking during live operations and difficulty in use amongst other problems. So much so that they have in-fact stopped using the kit they’re issued with because it’s so poor in quality and design

Many of the problems experienced was difficulty in use. With the amount of kit and weapons carried by modern specialist armed officers and operators: it is extremely difficult to see over kit and body armour. Add in the addition of a fiddly weapon retention strap and buckle and trying to work this and stowe a weapon in a dynamic situation whilst you can’t see what you’re doing is an almost impossible task and can add unnecessary annoyance to an already highly stressful situation

Working with operators around these issues, the KMP PERSONAL WEAPON RETENTION SYSTEM was born

Some of the main requirements demanded from officers was ease of use and an almost “hands-free” method of securing the strap. We have accomplished this using only the highest quality materials. Our PWR System incorporates FIDLOCK™️ buckle technology to accomplish the demands of operators and allows a “no eyes on” self securing and single handed method of engagement with its unique, PATENTED design

The KMP PWRS is also fully adjustable in length to allow ease of use with all modern weapon systems. This is achieved using the Ferro Concepts Slingster pull tab. The no-hole design and enhanced ribbed grip offers greater traction with or without gloves. Injection molded from high quality flexible rubber that maintains a ready position for quick adjustment of the KMP PWRS

Once your weapon is stowed, pull the tab to sure the strap which pulls your weapon close to your body and secures in place. This allows you to operate with your weapon stowed safely and will not fall out or disengage. To reacquire your weapon system, simply pull the tab on the FIDLOCK buckle and your weapon will be released

If you’re concerned about the FIDLOCK becoming disengaged accidentally, do not worry - FIDLOCK’s unique technology means this cannot happen. The buckle can not disengage whilst under weight or tension - the heavier the load, the greater the strength required to open. And with a static breaching strain of 70kg you can be safe in the knowledge that your weapon system will be stowed safely and severely
